Right, since I have roughly 13 minutes till the start of class - I know non-graphical games seem to be a step back in technology to most of you, who are familiar with and largely prefer detailed graphics in your computer games. But if any of you like to think yourselves open to new games, I've got a game for you: Achaea, Dreams of Divine Lands.

I'm not surprised if you say you haven't heard of or seen this game before. It's a MUD, a Multi-User Dungeon, which means in basic English that it's a text game, with no pictures whatsoever, using ASCII code and things like that. This is an example of what you might see as a character standing in a field.

Grasslands south of the Pachacacha. <= room name
Filling the firmament are heavy grey clouds. <= (weather) The mighty Pachacacha river trickles slowly along the hot, quiet grasslands here, the sparkling water flowing smoothly across the glistening pebbles. Tiny fish dart around in the glittering river, while all around you is an expanse of sun-sweetened grass, perfect for grazing. Small, sweet wildflowers bob their heads in the wind that whispers across the silent grassland. <= (description of the room) There is a runic totem here. So-and-so is here. <= (another person)
You see exits leading to the north and east.

I've run out of time to explain further, but if any of you would like to give this game a try, go for it: http://www.achaea.com/

Basically, it's a fantasy game, with lots of fighting, hunting, economy things, spellcasting, and so much more. Don't let Asians be the minority in a text game!

Look Requa up if you ever decide to join.

Time for class!
