When you're feeling down, and everything seems bleak and you feel like the most wretched person on Earth, that's when it's time to count your blessings.

Actually, scratch that - count your blessings every day. They make you happier.

I have:

1 amazing boyfriend.
2 incredible best friends.
3 wonderful family members...

And the rest don't make sense so let's just leave it at that :P

As the above know, I can get very introspective and depressed sometimes when I reflect on my life. There's always something, somewhere, that I can't measure up to, especially in terms of popularity and such. I get very insecure at times when I reflect on things like that, but too often I forget to look at the other side - that I am in fact, compared to far too many people, very blessed. Balance is important - never get too arrogant to assume the title of 'the best', but also never downgrade yourself and stomp yourself down, as Asians are wont to do. Believe in yourself and your abilities, and sometimes you might even surprise yourself.

Life goes on, with or without you. Until someone invents a time machine, there isn't any way to go but forward. The past is gone, but the future is still a mystery - so why not try to make it a better one? Agonizing over past mistakes does nothing to help anyone and only makes your present miserable.

So, abstract thoughts aside, the question on a lot of people's minds is: How was Monash?

Well...it's tough. :P

The competition is a lot different, a lot stronger, a lot more dynamic, a lot more versatile. Monash students are not people you can take lightly - of course they're not all geniuses or anything, but you do have a greater pool of contenders who are all incredibly driven.

I feel so average now. ._.

I won't compare Monash lecturers and Taylor's lecturers because both are amazing in their own ways. I will say one thing though - Monash really challenges your thinking every step of the way. No view is too conventional or too bizarre, the only thing that matters is that you HAVE a view and aren't afraid to express it.

We're supposed to do a lot of reading, too, before tutorials. Bye bye slacker lifestyle. :(

Sleeping early is also such a new thing to me all over again. X.x

Assignments. ASSIGNMENTS.

That is all. Enjoy uni life people! And to those not yet in uni...enjoy your time while you can. Seriously.
