With reference to the Streamyx problem, turns out that TMnet migrated the server for Bandar Utama, and forgot to change the IP address or something. This means basically that the technician came over, typed a few numbers, and was all fixed in 5 minutes. After one effing week of calling them.Sometimes I really have nothing to say.But anyway, today is Friday, most of my essay assignments are done, I have two more presentations that I need to do, and exams are coming up soon. Despite the last minute nature of my assignments I still hope they're okay, at least I had a (sort of) legitimate excuse this time! I am playing Achaea, feeling mildly sleepy, and enjoying my 'do nothing day'. *grin*I think I've earned a do nothing day after all the assignments! (Although yes, I know it doesn't compare to UniSAians, but still :P)I have talked about this a lot before but I am really enjoying life in Monash. It's not easy, it's never easy, but I really enjoy learning now. In school it used to be like we were learning for the sake of exams, not for the sake of learning, and I was just trying to stuff everything into my head. Now we can actually have our own opinions, we can debate, we can talk, we can LEARN. I come back from uni every day with a smile on my face and a feeling of sheer contentment.I am happy. :) It's been a while since I ever truly was.On a side note, happy 19th birthday to dear SARAH, who is celebrating with UniSAians in Pyramid now! I'm sorry I couldn't make it! (If you read this blog) but many happy returns all the same, and may your life only get better from here. :) I promise I haven't forgotten you! Don't feel shy to poke me with your birthdays - I am notoriously bad at remembering them.My Journalism lecturer, who was previously arrested on charges of sedition (see two posts below) invited me and a few other coursemates to dinner with his friends and family as thanks for supporting him during his time in custody, which I thought was very sweet. :) Unfortunately I am probably going to have to pass that up as I have a family function (learning to wrap bachang) but the thought behind it is sweet. :)My life isn't perfect, but I like it how it is now.
